3 injured in reported burglary and assault in Ithaca

According to the Ithaca Police Department, reports of a dispute were responded to on the 800 block of North Cayuga St. At the scene, Ithaca Police were assisted by the Ithaca Fire Department, Bangs Ambulance, and NYSP Forensic Investigation Unit. Police say they found three people at the scene with stab wounds. The three people who were injured were taken to area hospitals and are believed to be sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. center_img Upon investigation, they found that one person had forced their way into entering a residence and was then confronted by the people who lived in the home, resulting in a physical dispute. 3 held with over US$90,000 en route to Guyana

first_imgThree foreign nationals were on Sunday arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston, Jamaica after cash totalling US$93,000 and other currencies were reportedly found in their possession.Two of the accused are nationals of Suriname, while the other is from French Guiana.The three, who were attempting to board a flight to Guyana, were arrested about 14:45h after they were searched, and US dollars were found concealed on their persons.Other currencies they had in their possession included SR$325, €150, and J$50. The Police said they were arrested on suspicion of breaching the Proceeds of Crime Act.The three remain in custody as the investigation continues.
