first_imgPalm Court supporting four racers on July 2LOCAL business Palm Court has come on board to support four racers in their quest for glory at the second National Race of Champions billed for Sunday at the South Dakota Circuit.The entity yesterday handed over sponsorship to two superbike racers, Raveiro Tucker and Kevin Persaud as well as two car racers street tuner competitor Sharima Khan and Group Four racer Mark Vieira.Events Manager Sasha Lewis contended that the company is involved in the development of athletes locally, whether it be football, cricket or even motor racing.“Why not go all out. There are young racers that want to excel, both Raveiro and Kevin. They want to excel, you know. They want to go higher so why not let Palm Court sponsor them and support them.”She noted that the young people are the future, adding, “On race day, I will be cheering for those under the Palm Court banner and I can ensure you that those riders and drivers will be giving 100 per cent.”“These guys have been practising, they have been going to the track a lot. I must commend Sharima. She is a very good racer. Kevin, he has been practising a lot and Raveiro, he is new to the team and im sure they are going to do their best,” Lewis said.Meanwhile, each of the racers contended that he was thankful for his sponsorship. They promised to do their best, come Sunday.Action gets going from 08:30hrs with 22 races carded for the day including bikes.The event is sponsored by Ansa McAl, Prem’s Electrical, B.M.
