Men’s Soccer Set to Host Milwaukee on Monday

first_img Live Video DES MOINES, Iowa — The Drake University men’s soccer team hosts its first home game of the 2019 season at 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2 against the Milwaukee Panthers.The Bulldogs dropped their season-opener at Oral Roberts, 4-1, on Friday. Leroy Enzugusi scored Drake’s first goal of the season in the 79th minute.Drake finished 2018 with a 3-3-1 record at home. Milwaukee won its first game of the year against Western Illinois, 3-2, on Friday, Aug. 30.Drake and Milwaukee have been evenly matched as of late, with the teams battling to a 1-1-1 record over the last three matchups. The Bulldogs won the most recent meeting in 2016 by a score of 3-2.Freddy Lorenzen is in net for the Panthers. The junior was named conference defensive player of the week fives times last season and helped Milwaukee finish third in the Horizon with a 1.10 goals against mark. Offensively, Evan Conway is the one to watch.
